Citadel

The Citadel in Budapest is a 19th century fortification on top of Gellert Hill.

The fortress was built in 1851  after the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. It occupies almost the entire 235 metres high plateau.

Citadel is more than a great panoramic view place, it is well worth the walk itself for still, the views, and the fresh air.
